The Challenge

To create an app for a music event platform that allows users to find new music events in Nashville and share them.

The Solution

Twin Sun developed features that allowed users to find local events and post reviews.

The Results

The client has an app that effectively connects users to a wide range of music events in Nashville.

Bridging Users to Local Music Events

TuneMaps stands out with its street-level map of Nashville, enabling users to pinpoint event locations with ease. It also offers a specialized section where users can save their preferred events and share them directly. Each event page is meticulously detailed, offering insights into the artist, genre, venue, dress code, and even sharing options. For those looking to follow certain artists, the artist profiles come packed with information on upcoming shows, complete with venue details, date, time, and a feature to add these artists to a personalized list.

The primary goal revolved around several facets. The app was designed to cater to a wide spectrum of musical tastes, age groups, and cultural backgrounds. In a city where events can change dynamically, it was vital to provide up-to-date event details, especially when considering last-minute changes or cancellations. Furthermore, a careful balance was maintained between showcasing emerging local talents and the allure of mainstream music acts. Given Nashville’s expansive landscape, a major emphasis was placed on geo-localization, ensuring events were categorized based on their precise locations and set times.

Bridging Users to Local Music Events

In developing TuneMaps, a distinctive challenge was presented in maintaining the authenticity of the reviews. Our client highlighted the potential problem of review spam from individuals who might not have attended a particular event. In response to this, we designed a robust review system. To leave a review for an event, users are required to “check in” to the event in real-time by being within close proximity of the venue. This action needs to be undertaken within a strict 24-hour window post the event. By implementing this, we ensured that only attendees could leave reviews, thereby maintaining the integrity of user feedback. It’s a testament to our commitment to delivering an authentic user experience and our capability to devise tailored solutions for our clients’ distinctive challenges.

Sustained Partnership: Ensuring Long-Term Success

The launch of TuneMaps marked the beginning, not the end, of our commitment. We prioritize maintaining an ongoing relationship with our client, ensuring the app remains relevant and effective in Nashville’s dynamic music environment. By emphasizing regular communication and feedback loops, we aim to adapt and improve consistently. For us, it’s not just about delivering a product, but about ensuring its success and the satisfaction of our client over the long haul.
